Customs airport
Grenchen Airport has the status of a non-permanently manned customs aerodrome. This means that you can complete your customs formalities in Grenchen, i.e. you can land directly in Grenchen from abroad and also take off directly to abroad. Customs clearance is limited to personal travelling effects, private goods, sample collections and exhibition items under ATA carnet. The clearance of commercial goods requires prior contact with the responsible customs office in Bern (tel. +41 58 462 68 69). If the customs service is not present, the airport staff will also help you with customs matters.
